JEFFERSON CABRAL (Brazil, 1989) is a researcher, filmmaker and video editor. His projects and research involve images from the past and the appropriation of archives, and his work move between the fields of cinema and video art.
He has a degree in History, in Audiovisual, a specialist degree in Cinema and a Masters in Media Studies, all from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN).
His short films were screened at several film festivals in Brazil, in particular the video essay Fun in Paulista (2020) and the essay film A City Always New (2021). He is currently releasing his first short film Departure (2023).
